Styrenic foams 
With our diverse styrene-based product portfolio we offer reliable and sustainable solutions for your construction project. One prominent example: Neopor® - the enhancement of the insulation classic Styropor®. The grey insulation material makes an important contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions over the long application period of more than 50 years.
Dispersions & Additives
Speed, ease of application and durability are requirements for success. Versatility is a key for example, robustness of formulations with different raw materials and under varying conditions. We offer a broad range of dispersions and additives, that allow the formulation of high-performance construction materials in line with state-of-the-art environmental standards.
Asphalt Performance 
The demand for sustainable solutions and better occupational safety in road construction calls for new chemical additives that reduce emissions, save energy and ensure recycling. BASF is developing these new solutions and, with its Butonal® dispersions, offers high-quality SBR polymer and styrene butadiene dispersions. 
Optical films with light control properties 
It's light's time to shine – with our films, you can manipulate light to create stand-out designs that weren´t possible before. For the lighting industry, Lighting Solutions of BASF offers a range of optical films with light control properties for greater luminaire design and flexibility than ever before.

Our latest innovations

The new additive has already been tested under real life conditions: over 12 kilometers of public road have been paved in Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany and Kentucky in the United States. The modified asphalt has displayed excellent characteristics during both mixing and application.
B2Last®
BASF developed an intelligent and innovative bitumen modification, B2Last®, that helps you in significantly reducing CO2 and bitumen emissions and making roads more durable. B2Last® replaces 3 additives in one, bringing the road pavement to the next performance level.
Cavipor®
Cavipor® is a non-combustible mineral-based insulation foam system reliable in all aspects from production to application and disposal. It is particularly suitable for subsequent energetic renovations of buildings constructed of double-wall masonry.
Neopor® Biomass Balance

The BASF biomass balance approach (BMB), certified by German technical inspection authority REDcert, means that  renewable feedstock replaces fossil raw materials which are normally needed for the manufacture of EPS (expandable polystyrene).
